NPRC MLK

NPRC in Peoria teamed up with the local Boys and Girls Club of Greater Peoria. We spent the first part of the day providing 20 10-13 year olds with an informational session on the life and timeline of Dr. King Jr. Along with the information session was a short little quiz to “test” their knowledge of Dr. King Jr.
The second part of the afternoon was spent cleaning up the local area with the kids. We ended up with about seven garbage bags of trash in just the space right around their center. The day ended well for us and we hope it ended well for the kids.
